More than 2,000 Afghans gathered outside Bagram, the main U.S. military base in Afghanistan, on February 21 after reports emerged that foreign troops had improperly disposed of copies of the Koran. The protesters threw stones and chanted slogans including "God is great" and "Death to America." (Reuters video)
