Interview: Afghan Ambassador To The United States Eklil Hakimi

In an interview on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Chicago, Afghanistan’s ambassador to the United States, Eklil Hakimi, told RFE/RL’s Heather Maher that Afghanistan is grateful for the NATO allies' pledge of support at the summit. Hakimi said that Afghan forces will be ready by the time NATO hands over the lead on fighting by mid-2013.
