Serzh Sarkisian was inaugurated on April 9 for a second term as the president of Armenia. In his inaugural speech, he identified emigration, unemployment, and poverty as the main issues he plans to tackle. Meanwhile, Sarkisian's main challenger, Raffi Hovannisian, held what he called an "alternative inauguration" in Yerevan's Liberty Square, where he called Sarkisian's inauguration illegitimate and vowed to dispute the election result.
