Aleksei Krivoruchko, 35, was a judge in Moscow's Tverskoi district court during the period in question. He twice approved of the continued pretrial detention of Magnitsky under torturous conditions and refused the lawyer's complaints about ill-health and the fact that he was being prosecuted by the same officials he had implicated. He also returned a lawsuit filed by Magnitsky's mother about the posthumous prosecution of her son, which continues.
