Russia's President Vladimir Putin was nominated as the leader of the newly formed Popular Front For Russia movement on June 12. Speaking to the crowd of supporters during the movement's inauguration ceremony, Putin said that he wanted the Popular Front to become a "public movement" open to all Russian citizens and capable of finding solutions to their problems.
