Supporters of ousted Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood continued protesting overnight and called for further protests on July 9, a day after gunmen opened fire on pro-Morsi crowds, killing more than 50 people. Morsi supporters say the military was to blame for the violence, but military sources say "armed terrorists" fired on the crowds. (Reuters)
