Ex-Envoy To NATO: Early Afghan Pullout Would Be 'Catastrophic'

As U.S. officials reportedly weighed the possibility of a complete withdrawal from Afghanistan before the official 2014 pullout, RFE/RL correspondent Abubakar Siddique spoke to Kurt Volker, the former U.S. ambassador to NATO and the current director of the McCain Institute for International Leadership, about such a proposal. It would be "catastrophic" and is unlikely, he said.
