Iraqi officials are saying at least 19 people were killed in a series of attacks in western Anbar Province overnight.
The attacks appear to have targeted police.
In one attack, a truck loaded with explosives blew up on a bridge, collapsing the bridge and killing four police officers at a checkpoint and three truck drivers.
Another suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden vehicle into a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Rutba, killing five police officers.
Gunmen also staged attacks in several other areas of Anbar, killing seven more officers.
The French news agency AFP says more than 520 people have been killed in violent attacks in Iraq so far this month.
