In Azerbaijan, A Colorful Mosque In Need Of Repair

A brick minaret stands in front of the wood-framed mosque in the village of Nugedi, in Azerbaijan's Guba region.

The building is in need of major repairs, but it is still regularly used by Muslim worshippers.

The mosque is registered as a historic monument. Members of the community say they have informed officials of its decaying state, but have not received any assistance.

A painted facade has peeled away from the structure.
