Several thousand people marched in Moscow on February 2 in support of activists still detained for a May 2012 protest. Marchers chanted slogans such as "Freedom!" "Russia without Putin!" and the names of the so-called "Bolotnaya prisoners." Activists for other causes, including gay rights, also took part in the rally, which was authorized by city officials.
