Iraqi police say armed men have seized a senior Sunni politician in Baghdad.
Police said armed men raided the home of Riyadh al-Adhdah, the head of the Baghdad Provincial Council, late on July 25 and took him and several of his bodyguards away.
The men who seized Adhdah reportedly wore military uniforms.
It was not immediately clear whether he was arrested by security forces or abducted.
Adhdah is a member of Mutahidoon, the main Sunni Arab bloc in parliament.
In 2012, he was imprisoned for eight months on charges of funding insurgent groups.
