Albanian Prime Minister To Visit Belgrade

Albanian Prime Minster Edi Rama is due to make a historic visit to Serbia on November 10.

The trip -- the first by an Albanian premier to Belgrade in 68 years -- had been scheduled for last month but was postponed after violence at a soccer game between the two countries sparked fresh tensions.

The Euro 2016 qualifier in Belgrade on October 14 was suspended after Serb fans invaded the field and attacked Albanian players.

The violence was sparked when a drone flew over the pitch flying an Albanian nationalist flag.

The flag included a map of "Greater Albania" incorporating parts of Serbia.

The football incident triggered a war of words between Tirana and Belgrade, as well as attacks on bakeries owned by Albanians in Serbian towns.
