Kyiv Holds First Pride March Since Russia’s Full-Scale Invasion

Supporters of LGBT rights, including soldiers serving in the Ukrainian military, marched through Kyiv in the Ukrainian capital's first Pride March since Russia's full-scale invasion more than two years ago. The June 16 rally was heavily guarded by police and ended early due to a counterdemonstration where anti-LGBT threats and slurs were shouted.
