BAGHDAD (Reuters) -- Two roadside bombs have exploded in a crowd of part-time laborers in central Baghdad, killing at least two people and wounding 17, police said.
Police sources said the death toll from the bombs, which struck the packed crowd in northeastern Baghdad's Palestine Street, is likely to rise.
Despite violence being at its lowest ebb since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, militants have shown themselves repeatedly capable of carrying out coordinated, lethal attacks.
On November 10, a triple bomb attack killed 28 people and wounded 68 in central Baghdad.
