British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said today that Peter Moore, a Briton kidnapped in Iraq in 2007, has been released alive.
Miliband described Moore's detainment as 2 and 1/2 years of "misery, fear, and uncertainty."
Moore, a 36-year-old computer technician, was kidnapped in Baghdad by militants disguised as Iraqi policemen along with his four British bodyguards. Three were later killed.
The whereabouts of the fourth is unknown.
Moore was working for the U.S. management consultancy "Bearingpoint" at the time of his capture.
