Poland's acting president, Bronislaw Komorowski, has said the date of the country's presidential election will not be announced until after this weekend's funeral for the late President Lech Kaczynski.
Komorowski said the announcement would be made on April 21.
Kaczynski, his wife, and more than 90 other people died when their plane crashed in heavy fog on April 10, near the western Russian city of Smolensk.
Poles queued for hours today to pay respects to Kaczynski and the first lady, Maria, whose bodies are lying in state at the presidential palace in Warsaw.
Russian authorities say the remains of 64 of the victims have so far been identified.
World leaders, including U.S. President Barack Obama, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, and French President Nicolas Sarkozy are scheduled to attend the April 18 state funeral in Krakow.
