Two suspected U.S. missile strikes have reportedly killed at least 12 alleged militants in northwest Pakistan's tribal region along the Afghan border.
The incidents come amid increasing tensions between Washington and Islamabad over reported U.S. aerial attacks on Pakistani territory.
Unnamed Pakistani intelligence officials say the strikes, within hours of each other today, struck two separate houses in Datta Khel village in the North Waziristan tribal region.
The area is considered a hub for Taliban and Al-Qaeda-linked militants.
