Police say a bomb today killed eight Iraqi soldiers and injured four in Iraq's eastern Diyala province.
The bomb exploded when soldiers raided a house in the town of Sadiya, northeast of Diyala's capital Baquba.
A police official, Muhammad Ibrahim, said gunmen had lured the soldiers to the house following clashes at a security checkpoint, before detonating the bomb.
