TBILISI (Reuters) -- Two people were killed when the five-story studios of a Georgian TV talent show collapsed in the early hours of April 26.
Fourteen people, including participants and technical staff of the "Star Academy" show, were in the Soviet-era building in the capital, Tbilisi, when it collapsed, police said.
Two members of the support crew died, and two others were being treated in hospital.
"The reason for the collapse is not yet known," said an Interior Ministry spokesman.
Contestants in the show live together under the gaze of television cameras and perform songs each week to stay in the competition.
President Mikheil Saakashvili told reporters at the scene: "We must examine all such buildings to make sure such a tragedy is not repeated."
