Hunger Strike, And Evin Prison, Take Their Toll

In the picture above, prominent Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi appears at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2006, long before he was jailed at Tehran's notorious Evin prison.

And below, Panahi sits at home after leaving prison on May 25. He was released after he went on hunger strike for more than a week to protest against his imprisonment.

Panahi was freed on bail of about $200,000. He had been in jail since March.

The charges against him are not clear.
