TEHRAN (Reuters) -- An Iranian state television station says a plane that was forced to land in Iran was Hungarian, not a U.S. military plane as reported earlier by a semi-official Iranian news agency.
Iran's Arabic-language al-Alam satellite station, citing a military source, also said there had been no U.S. military officials on board, as it had earlier reported.
Earlier, the Fars news agency had said that a U.S. military aircraft unintentionally violated Iranian airspace and had been forced to land in Iran, but was later allowed to leave.
