Iranian FM Promises Proper Response To U.S. Policies

BAKU -- Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki said during a visit to the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, that if the new leadership of the United States shows a new approach toward Iran, Tehran will react accordingly, RFE/RL's Azerbaijani Service reports.

Mottaki told journalists that U.S. President Barack Obama's new approach should be reflected in his administration's actions and policies.

Mottaki was in Baku on February 19 on an official visit to discuss bilateral relations.

He met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
