OSH, Kyrgyzstan -- Kyrgyz security forces have recaptured one of the three prisoners who escaped from an Osh prison on September 17, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reports.
A Kyrgyz National Security Committee official told RFE/RL that police, the border guard service, and the Interior Ministry have been working together to locate the escaped prisoners.
It was not reported where the escapee -- who was caught on September 18 -- was when he was recaptured.
Two of the escaped prisoners were charged with membership in the banned Islamic group Hizb-ut Tahrir and the third one, Shukhrat Payzullaev, with espionage. The name of the recaptured prisoner was not made public.
