U.S. Middle East envoy George Mitchell continues efforts today to revive indirect peace talks between the Palestinians and Israelis.
Mitchell was due to meet with Israeli President Shimon Peres, and Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
He was then expected to travel to Ramallah for talks with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas, a day ahead of Abbas's PLO meeting, which is expected to approve four months of indirect talks with Israel.
Abbas pulled out of the talks over Israel's refusal to halt settlement building.
