Report: Iranian Women's Rights Activist Released On Bail

Shiva Nazar Ahari was arrested in December.

An Iranian women's rights activist and journalist, charged with "waging war against God," has reportedly been released after posting bail of around $500,000.

The release of Shiva Nazar Ahari was reported by opposition website Kaleme.com.

Nazar Ahari, 26, was first arrested shortly after Iran's controversial June 2009 presidential election, which saw President Mahmud Ahmadinejad reelected, and released on bail after three months.

She was rearrested in December last year while on her way to the holy city of Qom for the funeral of top dissident cleric Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri.
