Russian Teens Get Suspended Sentences For Hate Crimes

VORONEZH, Russia -- Three teenagers in the southwestern Russian city of Voronezh received suspended sentences today after being found guilty of committing hate crimes, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.

The men, whose names were not revealed, were found guilty of belonging to an extremist movement and physically attacking several Asian and African people.

Two of those convicted are 19 years old and the other is 16. The suspended jail terms are for between three and four years.
