Three U.S. Troops Killed In Afghanistan

NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) says three U.S. soldiers were killed today in attacks in Afghanistan.

The soldiers were killed in two separate bomb attacks -- two were killed in the country's east, while one was killed in the south.

ISAF gave no other details about the attacks.

Meanwhile, Afghan police today said three Afghan police officers and two civilians were killed in a bombing in Konduz province on August 26.

The latest violence comes as Afghan authorities today accused international forces of killing six children during air strikes on Taliban positions in Konar Province.

ISAF confirmed the air assault and said it is investigating reports of civilian casualties.
