FEODOSIA, Ukraine -- Ukraine's State Security Service (SBU) has announced that it is investigating the activities of a Crimean company allegedly involved in human trafficking, RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service reports.
The owners and managers of a company in the town of Feodosia are accused of sending 17 Ukrainian sailors abroad illegally and holding them against their will in the African countries of Cameroon and Benin.
SBU's press service said that all 17 of the sailors are sick with dangerous tropical diseases, from which two of them died.
