No device was found on the unruly passenger detained by U.S. law-enforcement officials after landing on Northwest Airlines flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit on December 27, the CNN television network reported.
CNN, citing a law-enforcement source, said the detained passenger did not appear to be a threat.
The passenger was detained on the same flight that a man two days ago was taken into custody after lighting an incendiary device.
The U.S. Transportation Security Administration said the plane was being held at a remote location at Detroit Metropolitan Airport for more screening after being met by law-enforcement officials upon landing safely.
