Iranian opposition leader Mir Hossein Musavi has said that the coming new year in Iran will be the year of "patience and perseverance" for the opposition movement.
"The year of perseverance on the goals of the Green Movement until results are achieved," he was quoted as saying in comments posted on the "Kalame" website.

Musavi -- who was reportedly addressing the members of the central and youth committee of the largest reformist party, the Islamic Iran Participation Front, on March 15 -- also said that he's very hopeful about the future.
"My feeling about the future is that the movement that has begun is irreversible. We will never again return to the situation we were in a year ago," Musavi said.
He said the opposition movement shouldn't just rely on the elite, but that it has to reach out to different segments of society and influential groups, including teachers and workers, and win their hearts and minds.
Some bloggers and activists have praised Musavi for preempting Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who traditionally declares a new title for the next Iranian year in his New Year's address.
The declaration of the "Year of Patience and Perseverance" suggests that Musavi and his supporters are ready for a long fight.
