You Don’t Carry Tear Gas When You Go To A Party

Iranian state television has aired interviews with some members of the Basij force who have said they were beaten up by protesters in Iran's postelection violence.

A blogger has reacted to one of these interviews where a Basiji reportedly said that he was beaten up while he was on his way to a party:

First of all, one doesn’t go to parties wearing a military uniform.

Secondly, one doesn’t go to parties with a baton.

Thirdly, one doesn’t go to parties with pepper spray.

Fourthly, one doesn’t go to parties with tear gas.

And finally, one doesn’t go to parties wearing army boots.
