Ghulam Rasool is a local leader in an Afghan village just across the border from Turkmenistan. He says the southward migration of the river that divides the two countries, the Amu-Darya, is destroying villages on the Afghan side of the border. He says that without help from the Afghan and Turkmen governments, he and his fellow residents will be chased into the desert.
