KABUL -- A roadside bomb explosion in Afghanistan's western Farah Province has killed at least 17 people, mostly women and children.
A provincial government spokesman, Abdul Rahman Zawandai, told RFE/RL that nine people were also injured in the incident.
The bomb hit a minibus carrying a group of local villagers to a wedding party in another village.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the government spokesman blamed Taliban militants.
