KANDAHAR, Afghanistan -- A bomb attack has hit a busy livestock market in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar, killing at least four civilians.
Javed Faisal, a spokesman for the Kandahar provincial governor, said explosives hidden in a hand cart went off on August 5 when the market in Kandahar's Takhta Pool area was packed with people.
Faisal told RFE/RL that at least 22 people were injured in the blast.
There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the attack.
