Mattis Warns Russia Not To Arm Taliban

U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Washington would confront Russia if it supplied weapons to Taliban militants in Afghanistan. Mattis arrived in Kabul on April 24. The U.S. commander in Afghanistan, General John Nicholson, added that there were persistent reports of Russian "assistance" to the Taliban. (AP)
