At least five police and five civilians were killed in two separate attacks in Afghanistan on July 7.
The five police officers were killed in Farsi district of the western province of Herat when their vehicle was hit by a rocket. A district police chief was among those killed.
In the northern province of Kunduz, a rocket hit a home in the Ali Abad district killing five civilians, including women and children.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for either attack.
The violence comes as the Taliban has stepped up attacks against Afghan security forces ahead of the announcement of results in the second round of the country's contested presidential election.
