Afghan high schoolers with dreams of attending university have had their plans derailed by multiple crises. Girls across much of the country have been shut out of high schools since the Taliban takeover after the COVID pandemic disrupted classes for nearly everyone. Students who are now getting ready to take university exams say they are badly underprepared and worry they won't be able to continue on their chosen paths.
