Armenia's top diplomat traveled to Turkey in a rare visit for talks with Turkish officials. Ararat Mirzoyan was slated to meet with Turkey's foreign minister later on February 15, an Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman said. The visit, Mirzoyan's second since March, comes as the neighboring countries try to normalize relations after decades of animosity. Over the weekend, a joint border crossing was opened for the first time in 35 years, to allow humanitarian aid through, to help victims of a massive earthquake that hit southern Turkey.
