Former Kyrgyz President Arrested

Special police forces have stormed the residential compound of former Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev and reportedly arrested him following a night of violent clashes. Video footage purports to show Atambaev being taken away by security services in a vehicle. Atambaev cannot be seen on the video, but an associate of the former president who was in the vehicle said that the former president was also inside.
