Emergency services say one person died when a natural gas facility in Austria exploded and caught fire.
Red Cross spokeswoman Sonja Kellner told the Austria Press Agency that 18 other people were injured in the December 12 blast at Baumgarten, near Austria's eastern border with Slovakia.
Gas Connect Austria, which operates the facility, said the blaze was brought under control.
Police said a technical fault caused the explosion at the facility, a major hub for European natural gas transit.
Natural gas is transported to Baumgarten along several cross-border pipelines and the flow is then delivered throughout Europe via Austria's transmission network.
Russia's Gazprom Export said it was working to redirect gas flows and "doing everything possible to secure uninterrupted gas supplies" to clients in the region.
