A Baku court has ordered four suspects in the attempted assassination of a member of Azerbaijan's parliament be placed in pretrial detention. The Sabail district court made the ruling on April 5 based on charges of the unlawful possession of weapons and involvement in the attempted assassination of a state official. Parliament deputy Fazil Mustafa, who has been critical of Iran, remains hospitalized after he was shot and wounded on March 28 in front of his home.
