Britain's Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, have arrived in Croatia at the start of a six-day tour of Balkan countries during which they are expected to promote peace and reconciliation in the region.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall landed in Zagreb on March 14 for a two-day stay in Croatia before heading to Serbia, Montenegro, and Kosovo.
The royal couple plans to visit Zagreb’s historic Upper Town neighborhood to see the restoration of buildings damaged during Croatia’s 1991-95 war for independence from the former Yugoslavia, and the eastern Croatian town of Osijek, which was on the front lines of the conflict.
Prince Charles and Camilla are expected to visit Belgrade on March 16-17, before traveling on to Podgorica on March 18.
The final stop of their tour is a visit to Kosovo on March 19.
