Belarusian IT expert Dzmitry Mastavy has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of treason and collaboration with extremists over a drone attack at the Machulishchy Air Base near Minsk in late February that damaged a Russian military cargo plane, the rights group Dissdentby said on November 9 without giving the exact date of the Brest regional court's ruling. The Reform.by website said the Supreme Court of Belarus will hear Mastavy's appeal against his sentence on November 10. Belarusian strongman Alyaksandr Lukashenka said earlier that a Ukrainian-Russian national and associates had been arrested for organizing the attack.
