Anti-War Protests Break Out Across Belarus

Protests broke out at several locations across Belarus on February 27 against the invasion of Ukraine. Crowds chanted "Glory to Ukraine!" and "No to war!" before police came and made hundreds of arrests. Participants uploaded numerous videos. The protests came as Belarusians cast ballots in a referendum on constitutional changes to tighten Alyaksandr Lukashenka's grip on power.
