Masked members of Belarus's security forces were seen in the capital, Minsk, on September 20 detaining people during another day of anti-regime protests. Belarusians have been taking to the streets every day since the August 9 presidential election, in which the authoritarian incumbent, Alyaksandr Lukashenka, declared a landslide victory, despite accusations by the opposition and the West of widespread fraud.
