Wife Of Bin Laden Says He Fathered 4 Children While Hiding

Former Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden

Reports from Pakistan say Osama bin Laden fathered four children and moved among five safe houses in Pakistan after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Details about Bin Laden's life as a fugitive are in an interrogation report on Amal al-Sadah, the youngest known wife of the slain Al-Qaeda leader.

She said at least two of Bin Laden's children were born in Pakistani state hospitals.

Pakistani authorities arrested the Yemeni-born al-Sadah along with Bin Laden's two other known wives and several children after a U.S. raid on their Abbottabad compound.

Bin Laden is thought to have up to 26 other children, many of whom fled to Iran.

His three known widows are in Pakistani custody on charges of illegally entering and residing in the country.
