Osama bin Laden's former cook has had his Guantanamo prison sentence reduced to two years from 14 years.
In July, the cook -- Ibrahim al Qosi -- pleaded guilty to charges of conspiring with Al-Qaeda and providing material support to bin Laden and the group.
Agency report the sentence reduction was expected after Qosi entered into a plea agreement in which he apparently acknowledged that Al-Qaeda was a terrorist group when he ran one of the kitchens at an Al-Qaeda compound in Afghanistan. He also reportedly admitted helping the Al-Qaeda leader escape U.S. forces in the Tora Bora mountains of Afghanistan after the U.S. invasion in 2001.
Qosi met bin Laden in Sudan and traveled with him to Afghanistan.
