Further NATO air strikes are reported to have struck targets in and around the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
Strikes are reported to have occurred early July 24 not far from the Bab al-Aziziyah compound of Libyan ruler Muammar Qaddafi, as well as in the east and southeast of Tripoli.
NATO planes on July 23 also attacked around Qaddafi's residential complex, and NATO said a Qaddafi regime military command-and-control center had been hit.
Qaddafi has continued to cling to power in the face of United Nations Security Council-backed NATO air strikes that began in March with the goal of protecting Libyan civilians from Qaddafi's forces.
Libyan rebels in February launched operations aimed at toppling Qaddafi's regime and now control roughly half of Libya.
