Bombings Kill At Least 15 Afghan Civilians

At least 15 Afghan civilians have been killed in two separate attacks in the country’s east.

Officials in Ghazni Province said a roadside bomb hit a minivan on April 10, killing at least 12 civilians onboard.

In Nangarhar Province, a suicide car bomb targeted a NATO convoy, killing at least three civilians and wounding four others. The attack took place near a U.S. military base not far from the airport in Jalalabad, the provincial capital.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the convoy attack, which comes a day after four Taliban militants stormed a court complex in the northern city of Mazar-i Sharif. Security forces besieged the compound for six hours. Ten other people were reported killed, including five security officers, and dozens were injured.
