How Bosnian Rape Survivors Find Solace In Sewing

The "Brave and Proud" workshop was set up as a support group for women who survived being raped during the 1992-95 Bosnian War. The women design and make slippers, prayer mats, bags, and other handicrafts. They say the workshop has brought them some peace, joy, and laughter. A UN international court estimated that as many as 50,000 women were raped during the Bosnian War.
